Frequently Asked Questions

General
What markets and instruments do you support?
We specialise in Indian markets — equity (cash and F&O), index futures and options, commodity futures, and currency futures — as well as Forex and US markets. We support MT4, MT5, TradingView, AmiBroker, and custom API-based systems.
Do you sign an NDA before work begins?
We sign a mutual NDA if required — just request one before we begin and we'll have it in place before any strategy details are shared. Your strategy logic, trading rules, and any performance data you share with us are treated as strictly confidential either way, and we never reuse or resell client strategy logic.
Do I get the source code?
Source code is provided on request — let us know when we start the project. It's handed over only after full payment has been received; until then, and if it isn't requested, you receive the compiled/executable version only (e.g., .ex4/.ex5 for MQL, or a packaged build for Python and software projects). Note that any third-party or supporting libraries and DLLs we use are typically included as compiled components only, per their own licensing terms — our source code covers the strategy or application logic we build for you.
How do I pay, and what currencies do you accept?
We accept INR via bank transfer, UPI, or popular Indian payment gateways. International clients can pay in USD, EUR, or GBP via standard international payment providers. Payment is typically split: 50% upfront to begin work, 50% on delivery.
Process & Timelines
What is your development process?
1) Free consultation to understand your strategy. 2) Written specification document — you review and approve before we write code. 3) Development, starting the business day after your advance payment is received. 4) Testing and backtest report. 5) Delivery with documentation. 6) A post-delivery support window. We keep you updated throughout and share intermediate builds for feedback.
How long does a typical project take?
A standard MT4/MT5 EA with clear specifications takes 7–14 business days. TradingView Pine Script indicators take 3–10 days. Custom Python bots and software projects typically take 2–6 weeks. We provide a precise timeline estimate after reviewing your requirements.
Can I change my requirements while the project is already in progress?
It depends on the size of the change. Small additions or refinements to the agreed specification (extra features, tweaked logic, minor adjustments) can be incorporated at any point during development — we'll simply send a revised quote covering the incremental work, and the project continues. If you want to change the requirement entirely — effectively swap to a different project — this needs to be flagged on the same day you paid the advance, before development begins. In that case we'll pause, requote the new scope, and apply your advance to it. Once development is underway on the agreed specification, the advance is committed to that project; a complete change of direction after that point (even late in development) is treated as a new project requiring its own advance, rather than a redirection of the original one.
What if the delivered code doesn't match my specification?
If the delivered code doesn't match the agreed specification, we fix it at no cost. This is covered under our post-delivery support window (10 days for MT4/MT5, AmiBroker AFL, and TradingView Pine Script projects; 30 days for custom Python or C# bots and software). We've never had a project where this was a persistent issue — the written specification process prevents most misunderstandings upfront.
Can I request changes after delivery?
Minor changes (bug fixes, parameter adjustments, small logic tweaks) are covered by the applicable post-delivery support window — 10 days for MT4/MT5, AmiBroker AFL, and TradingView Pine Script projects, or 30 days for custom Python or C# bots and software. Significant changes or new features beyond the original scope are quoted as a new project or hourly work.
MT4 / MT5 Development
What's the difference between MT4 and MT5 — which should I choose?
MT5 is the successor with more order types (including day orders and GTC), multi-asset support, a more powerful Strategy Tester (with real-tick backtesting), and support for hedging mode. If your broker supports both, MT5 is generally the better choice for new projects. If you're with an MT4-only broker or have existing MT4 infrastructure, MT4 is still fully supported.
Can you optimise an existing EA that isn't performing well?
Yes. We review the code, identify logical flaws or overfitting issues, improve entry/exit conditions, and run a proper walk-forward optimisation. We provide a detailed findings report before making any changes.
Can the EA run on a VPS without supervision?
Yes. We configure EAs for unattended VPS operation — including auto-recovery from connection drops, daily P&L email reports, and Telegram alerts for critical events. We can recommend a low-latency Windows VPS provider suited to MT4/MT5 based on your broker's server location.
TradingView & Pine Script
Can Pine Script strategies auto-trade without me being at the screen?
Not directly — Pine Script cannot place orders. However, it can fire webhook alerts to an external server. We build the order execution bridge (a Python or Node.js server) that receives these webhooks and places orders via your broker API. This gives you a fully automated system with TradingView as the signal source.
What version of Pine Script do you use?
We use Pine Script v5, the current version. If you have existing v3 or v4 code that needs upgrading, we handle the migration as part of the project.
Can you add alerts to an existing indicator I have?
Yes. Adding alert conditions (alertcondition() calls) to an existing Pine Script is straightforward. If you have a strategy script and want to convert it to alert-based automation, we can do that too.
AmiBroker AFL
Which data feeds work with your AmiBroker AFL systems?
We work with several reputable third-party market data providers for real-time Indian equity, derivatives, and commodity data. Both offer reliable AmiBroker plugins with tick, 1-minute, and end-of-day data. For end-of-day-only strategies, free exchange-published data sources work well too.
Can you build a portfolio-level backtest in AmiBroker?
Yes. AmiBroker's Portfolio Backtester is one of its strongest features. We build AFL for portfolio backtests across watchlists of 50–500 symbols, with position sizing, capital allocation rules, and realistic commission modelling.
Pricing
How much does a custom MT5 EA cost?
A standard EA with well-defined entry/exit logic and risk management starts from ₹8,000–₹25,000 (approximately $100–$300 USD), depending on complexity. Complex EAs with multiple strategies, options logic, or broker API integrations are quoted on scope. We provide a fixed-price quote after reviewing your specification — no surprises.
Do you offer maintenance contracts?
Yes. After your post-delivery support window ends (10 days for MT4/MT5, AmiBroker AFL, and TradingView Pine Script projects; 30 days for custom Python or C# bots and software), we offer monthly maintenance contracts for ongoing bug fixes, broker API updates, and minor enhancements. Pricing is based on the complexity of the system.
Is there a rush fee for urgent projects?
If you need delivery faster than our standard timeline, we can often accommodate with a 30–50% rush surcharge, subject to current workload. Contact us to check availability.
What is your refund policy if I need to cancel?
Your project is scheduled to start the next business day after we receive your advance payment — not the same day. Your advance is fully refundable if you instruct us not to start before the end of the day you paid it. Once that day ends and development begins, the advance is non-refundable, since development time has already been allocated and work is underway.
