How does the hardware lock work?
When a buyer installs your EA, the license manager captures their MetaTrader account number (or machine ID) and sends it to our cloud server. The server validates that this identifier matches their purchased license. If they copy the EA to an unlicensed account, it refuses to run.
Can licenses expire automatically?
Yes. You can set any expiry — 7-day trial, monthly subscription, quarterly, or perpetual. The EA checks the expiry date on every startup. When it expires, it stops trading and prompts the user to renew.
What happens if the license server goes down?
We run the license server with 99.9% uptime SLA on redundant cloud infrastructure. However, you can also configure a grace period (e.g., 48 hours) during which the EA continues running even if it cannot reach the server.
Does the system work for both MT4 and MT5 EAs?
Yes. We provide MQL4 and MQL5 license checking code snippets that you drop into your EA. The integration typically takes less than 30 minutes.
How do buyers purchase and activate a license?
We can integrate with your existing payment gateway, whether an Indian provider or an international one. After payment, the system auto-generates and emails a license key to the buyer. They enter it in the EA settings to activate.
